  • If youā€™re a UK resident, you may be able to open a current account.
  • All our accounts come with a contactless Visa debit card. 
  • We offer various bank accounts and services to help you manage your money.
     

1. Account opening essentials

Requirements for a current account

To apply for a current account, you must be 18 or older and a UK resident.

If youā€™re under 18, you can apply for one of our youth accounts.

Identification we accept

  • Current UK photo driving licence.
  • UK passport.
  • Non-UK passport (mobile banking app only).

If you donā€™t have any of these, youā€™ll need to give us two documents to prove your identity and address.

2. Information we need

We'll ask about your:

  • Personal details:Ā Date of birth, nationality, and marital status.
  • Address:Ā Current UK home address and last address if less than three years. We also accept international addresses.
  • Contact details:Ā Phone number and email address.
  • Income:Ā Your monthly earnings.
  • Employment:Ā Your job details.
  • Outgoings:Ā Information on your monthly expenses, like mortgages and rent.
