Frequently asked questions

  • Norton is one of the leaders in cybersecurity, and part of Gen™, a global company dedicated to powering Digital Freedom with a family of trusted consumer brands.

Norton empowers millions of individuals and families with award-winning protection for their devices, online privacy, and identity.

Norton products and services are award-winning and certified by independent testing organisations including AV-Test, AV-Comparatives and SE Labs.

  • Cybersecurity is crucial for businesses to help protect their sensitive data, networks, and digital assets from viruses and other cyberthreats. It helps to prevent unauthorised access to company networks, data breaches, financial losses, and reputation damage. Businesses can also be more confident in the integrity and availability of their data when it has protection from security software for small businesses.

  • Lloyds Bank has negotiated terms with Norton to support our small business customers with cybersecurity.

Customers can receive an extended 60-day free trial period, and after this period Norton offer discounted pricing on their annual plans. The discounted pricing will also remain the same when renewed for the next two years.

  • At the end of your first-year subscription Norton will contact customers about renewing their subscription. Lloyds Bank customer prices will not change for the first three years of their subscriptions.

  • The standard plan of Norton Small Business features Device Security, Cloud Backup1 (250GB), Secure Browser2, Software Updater1, Utilities Ultimate1, and Password Manager.

But Norton Small Business Premium includes everything that the standard plan offers, plus additional Cloud Backup Storage (500 GB), Secure VPN (to strengthen your online privacy), and Driver Updater1 (to keep your PC and its accessories running more smoothly.)

  • Norton offer a choice of packages to cover either 6, 10, or 20 devices. Norton Small Business Premium can be chosen to cover 10 or 20 devices.

  • Virtual Private Network. A service which encrypts the connection between your device and the internet, to ensure online privacy. This secure connection provides a private tunnel for your data and communications while you use public networks.

  • Norton Small Business Premium includes a Secure VPN but the standard version of Small Business does not.

  • Norton Small Business also includes Dark Web Monitoring. This feature allows you to add contacts for a total of five key people in your company and get a notification if their email addresses, phone numbers, insurance ID numbers, or credit card numbers have been leaked on the dark web. This will allow you to be on your guard and possibly change your password or notify your bank, as attackers can misuse leaked data for impersonating your employees and targeted phishing attacks. Monitoring up to five contacts is standard in both Norton Small Business plans.
