First-time log on

Depending on how you registered, follow one of these steps to log on to Online for Business for the first time.

Steps to take

We'll guide you through it

  • Before you start, you’ll need:

    • Your User ID – we posted or emailed this to you
    • Your card reader – we've sent you this
    • Authentication or Business Debit Card – we posted these to you.  You can also use any other Lloyds personal or business cards you have
    • PIN – we’ve posted this to you
    • Temporary password – we texted this to you

You must have all the above before carrying on, unless you use personal internet banking with Lloyds.  If you already use internet banking with a personal account, you can complete step 1 and 2 then go straight to step 5.

    How to log on

    1. Go to the Online for Business log on page
    2. Put in the User ID we sent you.  If you already have internet banking with us, put in your personal User ID and password and go to step 5.  If your User ID does not match, please call us on 0345 300 0116
    3. Next, enter the temporary password that we texted you into the ‘Password’ field.  We’ll then tell you to create your own password
    4. We’ll ask you to create your memorable information.  We might use this to identify you when you log on
    5. We’ll ask you to use your card and reader.  Check that the last five numbers of the card are the same as the ones on the log on screen.  You can change the numbers by clicking in the box on the screen
    6. Press the ‘identify’ button on your card reader.  Use the PIN we sent you by post and choose ‘Enter’
    7. You’ll see an eight-digit number on the card reader.  Put this number into the box on the log on page and press ‘Continue’

Trusting the browser on your device

After you’ve been using Online for Business for a while, we’ll ask you to trust the browser on your device.  This is a security feature that makes logging on quicker.

It means you’ll only need to key in characters from your memorable information and you won’t need to use your card and reader.

This trusted status won’t carry over to other devices though.  So, you’ll have to agree this on every device you use.

Before you start, you’ll need:

  • Your User ID – we sent this to you by post or email
  • Temporary password – you should have got this by text
  • Your mobile phone with the number you gave us when you registered
  • If you use personal internet banking with Lloyds, you can use your existing User ID and password

How to log on

  1. Go to the Product Hub by clicking the link in the email we sent you.  It's called 'Welcome to Online for Business’
  2. Put in your email address
  3. We'll send you an email and a text with a one-time passcode in them.  Put these into the screen
  4. Click on the 'Start activation' link
  5. Answer the questions that come up
