Isle of Man and Guernsey held accounts for a non-UK resident

If the total balance of the accounts is under £30,000 (or currency equivalent) we need the following documents:

  • Bereavement form (PDF, 165KB)
  • Will - a certified copy
  • Death certificate - a certified copy
  • Passport or driving licence - a certified copy
  • Utility bill - a certified copy of original bill within six months of the issue date

Isle of Man, Guernsey and UK residents with accounts held in the Isle of Man or Guernsey

If the total balance of the accounts is under £50,000 (or currency equivalent) we need the following documents:

  • Bereavement form (PDF, 165KB)
  • Will - a certified copy
  • Death certificate - a certified copy
  • Passport or driving licence - a certified copy
  • Utility bill - a certified copy of original bill within six months of the issue date

Your local branch will be happy to certify these documents for you and forward them to us, or alternatively you may post the certified copy documents (don't send the original documents) to us at the following address:
